Artist Statement

Compared with the competition of technology, I pay more attention to the healing effect of art. For me, art is a kind of redemption. It becomes an outlet for emotions, allowing me to release my inner repressed emotions in creation and finally find inner peace. The real world has its own unique operating rules. People are often forced to follow the law of "survival of the fittest" and have to passively change themselves. Therefore, I choose art as a medium to express emotions and thoughts, and use the "reality" of creation to heal the difficulties I encounter in life, so as to achieve the balance of the mind.
Death is an unavoidable theme. Although cruel, it must be faced. I don't think death is the end of life, but more like a change in the way of communication. As conveyed in the movie "Coco": "Death is not terrible, what is terrible is forgetting." I believe that every life can exist in our consciousness forever, and they will only really disappear when we no longer mention them. Therefore, I express the meaning of death by commemorating my loved ones: it is not the end of life, but a continuation, and encourage the audience to face and accept death.
My work explores the inherent connection between life and death, and conveys deep thoughts about life, memory and the passage of time through the layers of light, shadow, sound and color. I take my personal experience as a starting point, and connect individual memory with collective emotion through commemoration and emotional expression. The work attempts to guide the audience into a space of exploring and accepting death in an immersive experience, so as to find peace and relief in the face of the end of life.
